WWW Databases

With this week's assignment of learning to use different databases, it was definitely an interesting one! I am appreciating being introduced into new means of searching for information. I enjoyed learning about the different search dictionaries and other databases. The ones that were specifically geared towards education were even more beneficial for the world of academia! For instance, the Librarians Internet Index and it's already given subject categories helped in my search. It was cool already having the topics there to choose instead of having to think of different forms of keywords.

I never heard of the Invisible Web, but after reading about it and having to go search for my topic, I saw the benefits even though I really did not have much success! However, I think all of these databases and the Invisible Web search are very useful for the field of higher ed and should be more common in the academia world for students.
